Aetherglyph: Arcane Duels — Privacy Policy

Aetherglyph is a paid, one-time-purchase wizard dueling game. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no sale of personal data. This policy explains the small amount of data the game uses.

Anonymous identity

The game creates a random, anonymous identifier that is stored only on your device (browser/app local storage). It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, Google account, or any real-world identity. It is used to rank online matches and to reconnect to a duel after a brief disconnect. You may enter an optional display name; it is also stored locally and shown to opponents during a duel only.

Offline play

The tutorial and bot practice run entirely on your device and require no network connection. No data leaves your device during offline play.

Online play

When you start an online duel, the app connects to our authoritative game service (aetherglyph-server.onrender.com by default; you may configure a different service URL in Settings). To run a fair, server-authoritative match, the service processes:

Raw gesture paths are used only to validate a cast and are then discarded. Connection/security logs are retained for a short period (up to 30 days) and then deleted. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers.

Permissions

The Android app requests only the Internet permission (and network-state for connection quality). It does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or broad storage access.

Data you control & deletion

Because your identity is anonymous and local, you can delete your data at any time:

Children

The game contains fantasy magic combat and no chat. It is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information that would identify a child.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
